Nothing ventured, nothing gained. My home theater.
Report from Enrico

Hello, I am the Enrico and I would also like to contribute my contribution in the form of a construction report.
Since I have completely rebuilt my home theater and for my old floor-standing speakers was no more space next to the screen, another solution had to be found. Through an acquaintance I was made aware of the Beatclub speakers and after an initial conversation with Mr. Nötzel, the decision was made, I build my own speakers.
Since I did not want to build the speakers myself behind the screen, but the the Beatclub series was just developed, my choice fell on these. The Beat Club series has exactly the right dimensions as I had imagined for my new front area.
After further discussions with Mr. Nötzel, I ordered a 7.0 set shortly before Christmas. I decided on 3 times Beat Club for the front area and 4 times Beat Club Cinema one for surround and back surround. Just in time as a Christmas gift, the speakers also arrived at my house. In the meantime I went to the hardware store and had the wood cut, which worked wonderfully, because I was told the dimensions fit exactly by Mr. Nötzel.
I ordered the fronts from the same.
Now the actual work could begin. The gluing of the housing was not difficult, but with 7 speakers but very productive.
After drying the wood, I installed the crossovers and then glued the front panels. I made sure that the crossovers could be removed. Thereby I must say that these were cleanly processed. I think that I will never have to do it again.
Since the three front speakers can be seen, they were sanded and then painted black. The surround and back surround speakers were left in the MDF color, since they can't be seen behind the wall paneling. From Sonofil the nests were built , then the chassis recessed and screwed.

Each loudspeaker was listened to on a test basis and then taken to the cinema.
Then came the installation of the speakers and the excitement rose: Can the new ones keep up with the old ones?
After everything was mounted, the Denon 8500 was ready to be switched on and the CD was in the player, a first listening test could take place.
At this point, the amplifier was not yet tuned to the new set, but what came out of those speakers: It was fantastic. Several more CDs followed and I didn't know what I had missed before, good or bad. The new set plays so well that I first had to realize how bad certain CDs are in terms of quality. After calibrating the amplifier, the first movie followed in the evening. The choice fell on Skyscraper.
It's fascinating what you can get out of this set. The dialogue is clear and crisp, the gunshots come with a force that just makes you duck your head. The inferno of flames is so authentic that you regularly turn your head to see if there's a fire in the home theater or if it's just the movie after all. This set is so much fun that you don't want to stop. So much for now. A next report will follow, as I have just ordered 4 Atmos speakers from the new series Black Edition Cinema (Black Cinema Surround) and a subwoofer will also follow. However, this is still in development.
My conclusion until then: It was the best thing I could do, that I made the work and the effort to build the speakers myself.
Many thanks to Mr. Nötzel and the entire loudspeakerbuilding team.
